Gupta demands white paper on Yatris’ death

JAMMU, July 16: President Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, Ashok Gupta today demanded white paper on the death of 39 Amarnath yatries. People have died due to the negligence of the Traffic and Health Department.
In a statement issued here today he said in the Yatra of 20 days 39 people have lost their lives. Are the pilgrims visiting the Amarnath Yatra to die, Gupta asked?

Since last night it has been raining heavily in Ramban as due to which the SRTC bus slipped from the track and fell in to a pit due to which 11 yatris were killed and 36 are severely injured. Gupta stated that who is responsible for the deaths of the yatris as was there no traffic personal on the route to check the condition of the roads.
Before the initiation of the Yatra it was assured by the Health Minister and the Department that the yatris are allowed only for registration after possessing the health certificates, then why 20 yatris have lost there lives due to the heart attack as those lives could have been saved with proper health facilities which unfortunately were not available, he added.
The party president raised a question that why the Health Minister has not visited the Yatra route even once to check the health facilities for the yatris.
