Green Star, FCC register big wins at Kishtwar

JAMMU, July 11: Green Star Cricket Club defeated Poochal XI and FCC got the better of Vikkings XI at Choghan ground Kishtwar, while United Cricket Club trounced Warriors Doda in the ongoing JKCA Premier Championships at Choghan ground Kishtwar and Degree College ground, Bhaderwah, today.
At Choghan Cricket ground, Green Star defeated Poochal XI by a big margin of 92 runs. Batting first, Green Star scored 164 runs in 24.2 overs. Amir and Jaleel scored 37 runs each, while Asif contributed 27 runs to the total. Umar, Khalid and Ufkar took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Poochal XI bundled out for paltry total of 72 runs, thus lost the match by 92 runs. Imran (20) was the top scorer, while Mubasher contributed 14 runs to the total. Arif took 3 wickets, while Jaleel claimed 2 wickets.
In another match at Choghan ground, FCC defeated Vikkings XI by 56 runs. FCC scored 198 runs by losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Rafi top scored with 70 runs, while Mosiver and Owais chipped in with 26 and 25 runs respectively. Azhar took 3 wickets, while Naffez claimed 2 wickets for Vikkings XI.
In reply, Vikkings XI scored 142 runs in 19 overs. Azhar top scored with 41 runs, while Mustkeem chipped in with 23 runs. Owais was the wrecker-in-chief from FCC, who took 6 important wickets, which fetched him the man of the match award.
At Degree College ground, Bhaderwah, United Cricket Club defeated Warriors Doda by 76 runs. Batting first, United Club scored 187 runs in 25 overs. Suffian (37) and Salman (29) were the main scorers, while Fazil and Hanan Mir contributed 25 runs each. Pankaj, Tewar and Aqib shared 2 wickets each.
Warriors Doda managed to score 111 runs in 20 overs. Viney top scored with 20 runs. Danish took 3 wickets, while claimed 2.
