Govt’s innovative initiatives poised to transform J&K’s developmental landscape: Lal Singh

SRINAGAR, June 16: Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Choudhary Lal Singh, today said the Government would pursue the agenda of ‘Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas’ and fulfill all the promises made by the current dispensation to the people of the State.
Addressing a gathering at ‘Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas’ Sammelan at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) here, the Minister said that various measures are afoot for the overall welfare and progress of common people. He said that the current Government has made administration more responsive and answerable to the people’s issues.
The day-long Sammelan, organized by Airport Authority of India, was attended by the people from all walks of life including politicians, civil society members, academics and educationists.
“We will follow ‘Sab Ka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ agenda and will serve the State. Our Government will work for all sections of the society without any discrimination,” Singh said, adding “we will ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the State.”
The Minister said that the NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed its three years in office and there are many achievements that has brought laurels to the current dispensation at the Centre and the State. He said that during these during these years of transparent governance and accountable administrative setup, the Centre has reached to the new frontiers of advancement and progress.
He said that the schemes launched by the Centre Government for the general good of the masses in India are aimed at bringing about a change in the living standards and ensure prosperity of the people. He said that wide range of programmes have been chalked out to let the people have a tryst with the changing and fast developing India.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Department of Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks, Priya Sethi, said with the positive changes in the growth of India it’s fruits are evident in the State of Jammu and Kashmir which is keeping pace with these positive changes despite many challenges. “J&K has been largely benefited by these schemes and the changes brought about the execution of these schemes has herald a new dawn of change and prosperity in Kashmir,” she said.
Among others, the Samelan was attended by Regional Director North Indian Rakesh Kalra, Director Srinagar International Airport, Sharad Kumar and General Manager PR, J B Singh Negi.
