JAMMU, Jan 21: The State Government today said it would talk to all organizations holding protests in Jammu after National Conference MLA from Nagrota raised the issue in the Legislative Assembly during Question Hour.
Rana said ASHA workers, Anganwari workers, Home Guards, Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers and Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers were holding regular protests in Jammu but they were being only lathicharged as none from the Government was ready to listen to their problems and address their grievances.
Rana demanded setting up of Group of Ministers (GoMs) by the State Government for holding talks with all the organizations holding protests to air their grievances, which included payment of their wages, regularization etc.
Rana called upon the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri to give reply to the issues raised by him in the House.
Veeri responded to the issue later describing the problems raised by Rana as sensitive issues and assured him that the Government would talk to representatives of the protesters and try to address their issues.
