JAMMU, Mar 6: Government has accorded sanction to constitution of a State level Apex Project Clearance Committee (APCC) for clearance of Medium and Large Scale Industrial Units with investment of more than Rs 25 crore in plant and machinery.
According to the order, Chief Secretary of the State is the chairman of the committee while chairman, J&K State Pollution Control Board; Director, Industries and Commerce (concerned); Managing Director, JKDFC and representative of Industrial Association (concerned) are members of the committee.
Besides, Administrative Secretaries of Housing & Urban Development Department, Finance Department, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Industries and Commerce Department, Power Development Department and Forest, Environment & Ecology Department are also members of the committee while Managing Director, J&K SIDCO, is the convener of the committee.
