Governor, CM greet people on Navratras, Navreh

JAMMU, Apr 10: Governor N. N. Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Navratras and Navreh, and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his message of greetings, the Governor observed that the Navratras has a special significance for the devotees who visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji in large numbers during this auspicious period.
The Governor also extended warm greetings to the Kashmiri Pandits who celebrate Navreh on this day, which marks the beginning of the New Year and the onset of Spring.
The Governor expressed sincere hope that this auspicious period would be the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his greetings message, the Chief Minister highlighted the State’s rich tradition of celebrating holy occasions and festivals in amity and brotherhood. He called for strengthening this ethos of the State.
Omar expressed the hope that the day would bring joy to all. He prayed for peace and all round development of the State and the country.
