JAMMU, Apr 8: Describing the PDP-BJP Coalition Government as anti-poor and anti-development, former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that due to administrative inertia and lack of political direction, sufferings of the people have increased manifold during the past three years.
Addressing public gathering in Gandhinagar here today Bhalla said  that insensitive Coalition Government has pushed people to the wall. He said   unemployment has increased and  prices of the essentials have gone so high.  A  breakdown in the administrative machinery has been witnessed with the virtual collapse of law and order in the State.
The former Minister said that no change is visible on the ground since the BJP-PDP Coalition Government took over. He said that the BJP’s political constituency had suffered the worst neglect and discrimination under the present regime. Referring to the miseries of the people in Jammu district, Bhalla said the scenario was no different in the entire state. He said people in general were suffering on account of price hike, non-availability of ration, drinking water, roads and expressed concern over poor delivery system in the remote areas of Jammu district.
Accusing Coalition Govt for betrayal, Bhalla said both PDP and BJP are betraying people on the name of so called good governance and development of the State, but the fact remains, Coalition Govt is pushing the state towards dark age due to it’s wrong policies. Castigating Coalition Govt for not addressing issues of casual labours, daily rated workers, Bhalla said that Govt cannot ignore poor people who have been rendering their services for a long time.
Maintaining that share of Jammu region in employment decreased manifold in the present BJP-PDP Govt, Bhalla said that the Jammu Pradesh was being robbed of its nominal share and apparently divested of Govt jobs in principle. “Our patience is running out now. Betrayal by BJP leadership is forcing youth of Jammu to take extreme steps,” he added.
