Golden Jubilee of Lakshmi Narayan Temple to be celebrated in big way

JAMMU, Nov 13: Shree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar (Jammu) is going to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Shree Lakshmi Narayan Temple in a big way.
Addressing a press conference at Temple complex here today, the president of the Trust, Gulchain Singh Charak, informed that as a part of Golden Jubilee celebrations, a new, prestigious and unique temple of Shree Yantra and Navghreh (nine planets) is also being added to this impressive Temple complex.

Giving details of the programme, Charak said that celebrations would begin with a Bhandara (community meal) on November 16 from 1 PM onwards. On November 17, there would be ‘Kalash Puja’ and ‘Sthapna’ (installation) at 9.30 AM. Pooja and Hawan for Navghreh (nine planets) would be held on November 18 at 8.30 AM followed by Bhandara at 1 PM. In the evening, a Kirtan would be held in Temple premises.
He further disclosed that on November 21, the Trust has organized a ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ of an internationally renowned religious group. He said on November 23, Pooja for Shree Yantra would be held at 9 AM by the renowned priests of Haridwar amidst recitation of Vedic Mantras. Next day at 11 AM, Nagar Bhraman (city procession) will be taken out during which all the Navghreh would be taken out in colorful traditional religious procession in GandhiNagar on identified route. In the evening, the temple would have Aarti.
The last day of celebrations would commence with Ganesh Pooja in the morning followed by ‘Devpretistha’ and ‘Murti Sthapna’. The day-long Hawan will conclude with ‘Puran Aahuti’. The evening would be marked by a special Maha-Aarti.
Charak appealed the people of Jammu, especially the residents of Gandhi Nagar, to participate in the special celebrations along with their families and friends and make the event memorable.
