POONCH, Sept 29: The elections for the students union of Government Degree College Poonch were held for the year 2017-18 where upon various class representatives were elected on sections basis who then elected the students presidium.
Ghulam Nabi, student of B Sc Part-III was elected as president and Shah Asghar of Sem-III, Sonali Sharma of Sem-III and Farhat Shabir of Sem-III were elected as vice presidents. Mohd Jamil Mir of Sem-III was unanimously elected as general secretary, Ikhlaq Mehmood of sem-III and Sakshi Kanchroo of Sem-V were elected as Secretaries Cultural Activities. Hafiz Ul Rehman and Amina Firdose of Sem-V were elected as Secretaries Literary activities.
The whole process of election was held under the guidance of the Dr Mohammed Azam, HoD Zoology who was the convener of Class Representative Election Committee, which included Prof Khadam Hussain, Dr Aurangzeb Anjum, Prof Rani Mughal, Dr Mohd Shafiq, Prof Fateh Mohd Abbasi, Dr Wajahat Hussain and Dr Mohd Azam (Urdu), Prof Joginder Singh and Prof Nusrat Kouser.
