JAMMU, Aug 7: In continuation to the drive against Chinese thread (Gattu Dor) launched by Jammu police, a police party of Police Station Pacca Danga during patrolling duty apprehended one Manzoor Ahmed Ganai of Gujjar Nagar.
On search of his belongings, police party recovered five rolls of banned Chinese thread (Gattu Dor) from his possession which he had concealed in a carry bag. He used to sell this Chinese thread among the locals of the area.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 99/2017 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and further investigation of the case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by the police team headed by SHO Police Station Pacca Danga, S I Dheeraj Nagpal under the supervision of SDPO City North Varun Jandiyal and SP City North Dr Vinod Kumar IPS.
