Ganga dedicates development works worth Rs 50 lakh to Gurwal villagers

SAMBA, May 19: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) and former Minister, Chander Prakash Ganga today dedicated development works worth Rs. 50 lakh to people of Gurwal village in Vijaypur constituency.
These works included construction of a Pulli over local canal worth Rs. 15 lakh, lanes and drains worth Rs. 10 lakh and blacktopping work costing Rs. 25 lakh.
Ganga, while addressing the people after inaugurating these works, assured them that his endeavor of creating enhanced basic amenities in all unattended and neglected areas of the constituency would continue with the same spirit. He said that since the BJP came to power in alliance with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir, the State is witnessing tremendous development in all sectors irrespective of any social or political consideration. He also emphasized the significance of complete involvement of common people in implementation of welfare and development programmes to get results on ground.
“The MLA affirmed that he never let anyone to visit him again and again for redressal of his issues as his only mantra is ‘Aapki Sarkar Aapka Darbar’ as promised by him at the time of elections”.
Referring to several development works constructed in the village, the MLA expressed satisfaction that the people have now no complaints about poor or lack of proper basic services. He said that it has become possible only due to the long term and pro-people policies and programmes of both the Governments at Center and the State.
The MLA asked the PHE Department to ensure installation of a common hand pump in the village as demanded by the locals. He also said that the issue of construction of outside path towards the cremation ground in the village would be taken up with the concerned at the earliest.
Ganga exhorted upon the women to establish small scale business in the trade having potential in the area to improve their economical status besides enabling them live a dignified life.
The MLA, while replying to media persons on ceasefire violation by Pakistan, said that India gave a chance to them to stop the ceasefire violation on borders during Ramzan but they have no brain to understand the importance and sanctity of such decisions. “Our forces are reciprocating in a befitting manner to them as BJP will never compromise on the national interests”, he maintained.
