Four bovines rescued

JAMMU, Nov 11: In separate cases, police today foiled two bovine smuggling bids and rescued four bovines.
According to a police official, two bovines were rescued today by Gajansoo police. He said that the smugglers were taking two bovines in a Tata mobile but when they were stopped at Gajansoo police naka, they fled away leaving behind the vehicle.
He said on checking of the vehicle, two bovine animals were found loaded. “The bovines were rescued and the vehicle was seized while a case FIR No 188/2017 under relevant sections were registered at police station Kanachak”, he added.
Meanwhile, two bovines animals were also rescued by Khour police. Giving details, a police official said that while on naka duty at Narayana, police officials signaled a load carrier bearing registration number JK02AP-1957 to stop but the driver of the vehicle fled from the spot leaving behind the vehicle in which two bovines were loaded. The Khour police had registered a case in this connection and seized the vehicle while efforts were on to nab the absconding driver.
