JAMMU, Feb 11: Fortis Escorts Hospital Amritsar in association with Nanak Nagar Gurdwara Jammu organized a free knee checkup camp at Nanak Nagar Gurdwara, Jammu.
During the camp, Dr Ranjit Singh, Senior Knee Replacement surgeon from Fortis Escorts Hospital Amritsar examined more than 100 patients with knee pain.
Dr Ranjit Singh said that knee arthritis has become a very common problem and is spreading like an epidemic. If due precautions are taken and treatment is initiated on time then surgery can be avoided but for those with severe Arthritis and deformity, knee replacement is mandatory and can be life changer for such patients.
“With the introduction of partial knee replacement, patients can easily avoid total knee replacement and can opt for partial knee replacement,” he added.
