SRINAGAR, Dec 27: The applicants who have applied for the posts of Landscapers/ Gardeners in the Floriculture department today protested at Press Enclave here against failure of the Government in appointing them.
The protesting applicants said that despite undergone complete training as Landscapers/ Gardeners in the Floriculture departments, they have not been appointed till date. “Our issue is pending since 2016. Government issued a notification for engaging 1300 Landcapers/Gardeners in the Floriculture Department. We applied for the posts and underwent training but despite completion of the training, we have not been appointed till date,” a protesting applicant said.

The aggrieved applicants said that they have completed all the formalities and even financial concurrence is already accorded by the Finance Department but fail to understand why the appointment list has not been issued till date.
They said despite approaching Governor administration who assured them that the issue will be sorted out, nothing happened and the issue is still pending.
They appealed to the authorities to engage them and issue the appointment orders at the earliest.
