File compliance report or salaries of 5 XEns to be stopped: HC

JAMMU, July 10: In a contempt petition relating to non-payment of dues to daily wagers of PHE Department, High Court has sought compliance report with the warning that if case of further dilly-dallying approach salaries of five Executive Engineers will be stopped.
After hearing Advocate Sachin Sharma for the petitioners whereas Deputy AG Ranjeet Singh for the State, Justice Tashi Rabstan observed, “despite lapse of four months, compliance report has not been filed”, adding  “ the officers present in the court stated that most of them have recently been posted in the concerned department”.
“Although they have already approached the Finance Department with a request to release the funds for giving salary of the petitioners, they seek and are granted further six weeks’ time to do the needful in terms of order dated 07.02.2018 failing which the salary of the officers, who are present in the court Ashok Singh, XEn, PHE (Mechanical), North, Jammu,  Bashir , Mohammad, XEn, Hyd. Division, Ramban,  Sudesh Kr. Kotwal, XEn, Hyd. Division, Kishrwar,  P. B. Suri, XEn, Ground Water, Jammu  and Jagjeet Singh, XEn, Ground Water, Jammu for the month of July may not be released,” High Court said.
