RAJOURI, Aug 9: Father of three children committed suicide after his wife turned estranged and eloped with an ultimatum to marry someone else, here today.
The deceased, identified as Malya Shastri (40), son of C B Shastri, resident of Ward Number 10, Rajouri, consumed some poisonous substance and ended his life today. He was working as an electrician to feed his family of three children and wife.
Reports said that wife of the deceased left home three days back and telephonically contacted him today only to inform that she was going to marry someone else. The father of three children could not bear this shock and consumed some poisonous substance. He was rushed to hospital when he died despite hectic efforts by the doctors to save his life.
Police has registered a case in this connection.
