JAMMU, Sept 16: The family members of move employees today expressed their surprise over the Government order asking the Secretariat employees to join duties by September 18.
The delegation of the family members of these employees called on MP from Jammu -Poonch Parliamentary Constituency and State president, BJP Jugal Kishore Sharma here today and sought his intervention in the matter.
Mr Sharma took the issue with Chief Secretary of the State and urged him to look into their problem as in view of the prevailing situation in Valley they are unable to join their duties.
Expressing surprise over the Government order the family members of the move employees said that all hotels and Government quarters where the move employees were putting up are still in water so where these employees will put up as entire Srinagar city is still under water.
Moreover, there is no drinking water in the entire Srinagar City and the threat of epidemic looms large. The families are concerned about their safety and hence the Government should not force them to join their duties till water depletes from the Capital City,  it becomes fully dry, the dead cattle and other animals are removed and complete spraying is made to prevent the spread of epidemic, they added.
They said instead of issuing order the Government should first verify where these employees are at present and who rescued them after the hotels and quarters where they were putting up submerged into 14 deep flood water.
They said that some employees are missing and their whereabouts are not known while others are still trapped in flood water. Under these circumstances it will not be possible for them to join their duties as entire normal life has been paralyzed in Valley as there is noting to eat and drink.
