Ex-Servicemen League elects office bearers

KATHUA, June 24: J&K Ex-Servicemen League held a meeting under the chairmanship of Retd Colonel Rajinder Singh, Supervision Officer deputed by JKESL Headquarters Jammu to elect the office bearers. The meeting was attended by a large number of ex-servicemen and war widows.
In the meeting, Retd Major Anchal Singh was unanimously elected as President of J&K Ex-servicemen League, Kathua district.
While speaking, Major Anchal Singh highlights various burning issues of the ESM and war widows. He has demanded to clear the pay anomalies of 7th Pay Commission and awareness camp to make the war widows aware about their rights. He also assured that the all documentation services to physically challenged ex-servicemen will be provided at his doorstep.
Meanwhile, the new body of Kathua district was also announced on the occasion, wherein Retd Captain Karan Singh was appointed as Vice president, Captain Mohan Lal as Treasurer, Major Drashan Singh as Secretary and Captain Prem Pal Singh as Council Member. The district delegates appointed are Ex-Sub Vakil Singh, Sub Manohar Lal, Rasaldar Kuldeep Singh, Havaldar Prem Singh and Naik Sat Pal.
On the occasion, Tehsil Presidents were also announced. Captain Ranjit Singh has been appointed as President for Kathua, Captain Tara Chand for Billawar, Captain Jamel Singh for Hiranagar, Captain Harnam Singh for Basholi, Captain Pavinder Singh for Mahreen and Capt Khajoor Singh for Nagari Parole.
