JAMMU, Oct 25: All J&K Retired Police Personnel Forum has condemned the Government Order No. 229-F of 2014 of 17-10-2014 and alleged that Govt has played a joke with the retired police men.
In a meeting of the Forum held here the other day its president, Ajit Singh alleged that order issued by the Govt on October 17 is highly condemnable. He said it has been issued in clear violation of the High Court orders SWP No. 277/2009. This order provides no relief to the police persons who have been fighting this case since 1996 up to now. Many of them have retired. He alleged that Govt played a cruel joke and made mockery of the retiree policemen.
The Forum warned the Government to provide pay anomaly benefit to the retired police personnel otherwise, they will be forced to launch agitation and come to the streets. Mr Singh said that Govt has failed to come up to the expectations of the masses.
