Eric Clapton postpones shows due to severe bronchitis

LOS ANGELES, Mar 27:  Musician Eric Clapton has postponed two concerts due to severe bronchitis. He will now perform in September.
The 71-year-old singer issued a statement through his Twitter account and also gave the details of the rescheduled shows.
These performances were supposed to be held this weekend at the Forum in California’s Inglewood, reported Billboard.
“Due to severe bronchitis and under doctor’s advisement, Eric Clapton is rescheduling this weekend’s two shows at The Forum in Los Angeles.
“The Saturday March 25 show will now be held Wednesday, September 13. The Sunday March 26 show will now be held Monday September 18,” a statement on Clapton’s Twitter read.
The veteran musician also regretted disappointing his admirers but hopes to pacify them.
“He is very sorry to disappoint his fans but looks forward to these shows.”
Ticketholders can retain their tickets for the new dates or refunds will be issued at point of purchase.
In addition, “Clapton will play the already scheduled two shows at The Forum on September 15 and 16,” read a series of tweets from Clapton’s account. (PTI)
