JAMMU, Nov 10: Farooq Ahmad Lone, CEO ERA, along with other senior officials conducted site inspection of various projects in Jammu.
The site inspection commenced with onsite visit of Tubewell at Fruit Market and Central Pumping Station of PHE at Narwal. Thereafter, CEO visited Tubewell sites at Malik Market, Channi Himmat at Sector 1, Channi Himmat Government Higher Secondary School Sector-1 and Channi Himmat Sector-7.
The CEO was apprised about the latest technology of SCADA used in the pumping stations. SCADA is supervisory control and data acquisition used to get all the parameters related to functioning of tubewells.
Lone also visited Sewerage Treatment Plant at Bhagwati Nagar built at a cost of Rs 30.82 crore and semi-automatic parking at City Chowk built at a cost of Rs 50.11 crores including O&M for five years. The projects had been constructed by ERA with financial assistance from Asian Development Bank under Jammu and Kashmir Urban Sector Development Investment Program (JKUSDIP).
Ravinder Kumar Gupta, Director Jammu, Ajay Gupta, Project Manager Hydraulics JKUSDIP, Jammu and other officers of J&K ERA accompanied CEO during the site visits.
