SRINAGAR, Feb 10: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), president Abdul Qayoom Wani has condemned the statement of Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu regarding employees’ duty.
In a press statement here today, Wani alleged that Dr Drabu in his remarks has said that `we are giving salaries to over 50 % of the total employees in the State who absolutely do not work.’ Wani said the employees are working with dedication and performing all the assigned duties by the Government. They do not need to obtain performance certificate from any one.
Wani castigated Finance Minister for giving an irresponsible statement about the employees of the State. He said these remarks have hurt the sentiments of the employees in the State.
