DyCM visits DySP residence, says culprits won’t be spared

SRINAGAR, June 24:  Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today visited the house of  DySP of Police Mohammad Ayub Pandit who  was killed while performing  his  duties  in the  Jamia Masjid area in the Old  City Srinagar during Shab-e-Qadr.
He was accompanied by Minister for PHE and Irrigation Sham Choudhary, the Minister for Animal Husbandry Abdul Gani Kohli, Minister of State for Transport Sunil Sharma and senior officers of Police and Civil administration.
While interacting  with the bereaved family members  of the martyred policeman, the Deputy  Chief Minister said  that  the Government  will ensure that the people responsible  for the  barbaric  and  dastardly   act  do not go scot free.  He said a special investigation team has been constituted which will soon ensure that the culprits responsible for this heinous act are brought to justice.
Dr Singh while  expressing  sympathies  with the  bereaved family  assured  them the Government  will provide  every possible  support to them and stand  by them in this  hour of  immense grief.
Dr Singh also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
