JAMMU, Dec 28: Bishnah police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ launched by SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a scooty.
During checking, police recovered 4 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kamal Deep Singh, son of Gurbachan Singh, a resident of Bhour Camp, Chatha.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters RC Kotwal.
