Dr Vikas of SKUAST-J gets Best Indian Educationist Award

JAMMU, Feb 19: Dr Vikas Sharma, Assistant Professor in SKUAST-Jammu, has been presented the Best Indian Educationist Award as recognition of his significant contributions in the field of Education.
The award contains a Gold Medal, Certificate of Excellence, Certificate of Felicitation along with a memento. The award was presented to Dr Sharma at National Conference on Indian Economic Growth, held recently at, CD Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi, which was attended by more than 200 delegates from all the States of India.
Dr Vikas Sharma, son of Harbans Lal Sharma and Pushplata Sharma of Channi Himmat, is working as Asstt Professor in the Division of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Sciences, SKUAST-Jammu, He is working on anticarcinogenic properties of medicinal plants of J&K and regularly publishing articles in leading newspapers to encourage the consumption of anticancer natural products among the people of J&K so as to avoid the risk of cancer. Dr. Sharma has 10 years experience of teaching and research. He has published 3 books on anticancer efficiency of Jammu botanicals.
