Dr Jitendra allocates MP Fund for 14 Ambulance, Hearse Vans

NEW DELHI, Jan 25 : Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has allocated Rs 3.1 crore from his MP Fund (MP-LAD) for seven critical care ambulance vans and seven hearse vans (Shav Vahan).
Disclosing this here today, Dr Jitendra Singh said, his Lok Sabha constituency comprises of six full districts and a very small part of seventh district. The six full districts are Kathua, Udhampur, Doda, Reasi, Ramban and Kishtwar, while a small part of seventh district of Samba is also included.
The allocation, Dr Jitendra Singh said, made from the MP Fund, will thus provide one critical care ambulance van and one hearse van (Shav Vahan) to each of the seven districts. This, he said, will have a special significance for the border villages, which are frequently at the receiving end of cross-border firing.
Dr Jitendra Singh further revealed that seven critical care ambulance vans will be made operational soon, while the process of purchase of seven hearse vans (Shav Vahan) is being initiated immediately, considering the fact that this is one of the last financial allocations from his MP Fund before the Parliamentary term ends.
Mentioning some of the other important MP LAD funded works, Dr Jitendra Singh referred to benches and shades at Kathua Railway Station, Yatri Sheds in district Kathua, solar electrification of school at Phinter Bilawar, toilet complex at Shiv Khori, community hall in the name of Daya Krishan Kotwal in Bhaderwah, school bus for Bhaderwah, foot- bridges in district Udhampur, supplementary work at Atal Setu bridge in Basohli, War memorial in Reasi, Dental chair in District Hospital Reasi, digital equipment for Bilawar Hospital, exclusive MP fund allocations for village Sangwali in Samba, village Humbul in district Doda, village Bhattan in district Kishtwar etc. These, he said, are in addition to a series of national level projects, which have been brought up in each of these districts during the last five years.
Meanwhile, Executive Councillor (Health) of Leh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Tsering Sandup called on Dr Jitendra Singh today and discussed the Leh visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled for 3rd of February.
Pertinent to mention that during PM Modi’s one day visit to Jammu & Kashmir, Leh will be his first stop-over, where he is expected to make some major announcements including the setting up of a University.
