Director FCS&CA reviews functioning of deptt at district level

JAMMU, Sept 15: Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Jammu Amit Sharma today held a detailed review meeting of all ten districts of Jammu division in which respective Assistant Directors mentioned about functioning of department and pointed issues relating to their districts.
The meeting was held in the presence of all officers of the department including Joint Director Administration Pawan Sharma, Deputy Director Supplies Joginder Jasrotia, Deputy Director Food and Rationing Kulraj Singh, Chief Accounts Officer Rashim Deepika, Assistant Director Enforcement Mukhtiar Ahmed, Assistant Director Planning Gurneet Kour amongst others.
Director FCS&CA Amit Sharma initially talked about district specific complaints wherein concerned Assistant Directors noted same and ensured to address them in a time-bound manner. It was decided that all issues related to public shall be given top priority and various strategies were given final shape for upcoming festival season wherein directions were given to ensure sufficient stocking of food grains, sugar and essential supplies especially in hilly terrains of all districts including market checking drives and public awareness drives to be undertaken in coming days.
Assistant Directors were given target of one month by Director Amit Sharma to complete Aadhaar Seeding in all districts so as to ensure transparency in distribution of ration supplies under NFSA. It was also decided that the directed shall ensure to clean-up data and make necessary corrections in data related to several anomalies such as category correction, number of souls in a family, age, address and names related issues through concerned committees in next one month.
Apart from this, it was decided that Assistant Directors shall take-up the issue of kerosene oil requirement issue of all districts with concerned Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division to submit report on reduction and exact requirement of it in districts as the usage of same is decreasing over the years during to overall development happening in the State.
Director Amit Sharma mentioned that all ADs should keep working with same zeal and enthusiasm to improve overall image of department and provide timely ration supplies to public at their doorstep in future.
