JAMMU, Feb 13: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) today took out a procession in Jammu city against the non-availability of ration since past 6 months.
A large number of registered consumers and DFSS workers under the leadership of DFSS president, Ashok Gupta, today assembled at Rani Park and raised slogans against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department.
While addressing the protesting people, Ashok Gupta, said that the sugar has not been provided to the people since past six months but the funds have been realised from the Central Government. He said that an enquiry should be setup that why the State Government is not providing sugar to the ration card holders while it has realized funds for the same from the Central Government.
He further stated that due to CAPD’ stubborn approach of asking the dealers to pick up the ration from the godowns, poor consumers are without ration for past about six months.
