JAMMU, Feb 13: The District Administration Jammu today initiated a Pilot Project under Solid Liquid Resource Management (SLRM) on the trial basis in the village Chak Lala in Bishnah constituency.
The project is aimed at managing the Rural household waste of the villagers of Chak Lala and make it as a Resource for revenue generation as well as employment for Panchayat, Sehora.
The project has been initiated by the District Development Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh in district Jammu and under his guidance the project was launched on the trial basis by the MLA, Bishnah, Dr Kamal Arora in the presence of District Panchayat Officer, Deepak Dubey, Block Development Officer, Bishnah, Nazia Chowdhary, Dr Zafar Iqbal (SLRM) and villagers of Chak Lala.
In this project, the two color dustbin (Red and Green) were distributed to all the households of village Chak Lala for segregation of Bio-degradable and Non Bio-degradable waste. The two tri-cycles were also started for collection of the waste from households of the village, which will be treated in SLRM Centre.
