Dental awareness camp held

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Aug 5: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) Social has demanded that all the members of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) including its chairman and vice chairman should be from the OBC categories. In a statement issued here today, the Union opposed the suggestion by certain political leaders of inducting members from Minority Community and women as its members termed it a treacherous move of some political parties as this way they wanted to weaken the Commission and depriving the Constitutional rights to OBCs in the country. The meeting also accused the State coalition of working against the interests of OBCs and urged it to mend its ways. The Union which held a meeting here today to discuss the issue deliberated threadbare the role of both opposition Congress and ruling alliance led by BJP over the issue. The meeting among others was attended by Joginder Singh, M R Bangotra, Prof Kali Dass, Sandokh Chand etc.

JAMMU, Aug 5: SHS Memorial Hospital (Dr Dara Singh Nursing Home), Rehari Chungi organized a dental awareness camp at Shangrilla Public School, Sarwal.
The students were examined by Dr Rohit Sharma, Dental Surgeon and Implentologist under the supervision of Dr Simranpreet Singh, MD and Administrator, SHS Memorial Hospital.
Dr Rohit Sharma advised the students about the benefits of maintaining oral hygiene by proper brushing and other techniques available in the field of dentistry. He also gave live demonstrations to get rid the cause of majority of oral problems. Dr Sharma also focused on maintaining nutritional diet instead of eating fast foods.
Around 250 students and staff of the institutions were examined.
On the occasion, Principal of the institution Sureshta Khajuria was the guest of honour.
Dr Simranpreet Singh provided free bushes, toothpastes and mouth washes. He informed that SHS Memorial Hospital is organizing such camps for the welfare of the society. Dr Singh also informed that SHS Memorial Hospital also provides discount on the investigations, X-rays and surgeries to the economically weaker section of the society.
He also spoke about other specialties available in SHS Hospital like orthopedics, cardiology, gynaecology, general surgeries, urology, ENT, paediatrics, etc.
