Deficiency of basic amenities speaks about callousness of PDP-BJP Govt: Bhalla

JAMMU, May 28: Senior Congress leader and former Minister, Raman Bhalla today said that people crying for drinking water and reeling under unprecedented power curtailments in city areas have fed up with fake assurances of concerned authorities and their representatives have left them on the mercy of God.
Addressing a meeting of party workers of Gandhi Nagar constituency, he said that most parts of constituency are reeling under acute water scarcity but the Government has not yet taken necessary steps. “Deprivation of ration supply is another issue affecting the population gravely,” he added.
Bhalla asked BJP what happened to their poll promise that the party would address all issues of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and West Pakistan refugees and return of migrant Kashmiri Pandits with full dignity apart from extending a promise of good governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
“BJP had promised to address the demands of PoK and West Pakistan refugees, but the refugees have merely got assurances and nothing else from the BJP. Apart from Pakistani and PoK refugees, the BJP had also promised return of Kashmiri Pandits migrants to the Kashmir Valley with full dignity”, Bhalla added.
He described the Agenda of Alliance a document of false promises and said the only commitment between the duo is to remain in power. “Now that the first unsuccessful and miserable spell of the combine is over, failures on all fronts is haunting both the PDP and the BJP”, he maintained.
He said the developmental tempo initiated and sustained by Congress led Government during six years came to a grinding halt and all tall claims and promises delivered before and after formation of the Government proved to be hoax.
The former Minister said, all developmental works being started by previous Government are stopped and seems standstill, which has affected the people of the State badly.
