JAMMU, Sept 1 : The dead body of an unidentified man of about 45 years age was found today from a drain along the road in Narwal area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, at about 9 am some passers by spotted a dead body in a drain along the road at Narwal area and informed the police. On getting information, a police team from police post Narwal reached the spot and shifted to the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
Later, the deceased was identified as Surinder Singh son of Vir Singh, a resident of UP (at president near Railway Station Jammu).
After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In this connection, a case under 174 CrPC has been registered at concerned police station and further investigation started.
