DDC issues instructions for removing bottlenecks in mega projects

KISHTWAR, Sept 30: DDC Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, visited Hydroelectric Project sites at Kawar and Kiru and directed the officials concerned to remove bottlenecks in the execution of these projects.
Accompanied by General Manager, Kiru Hydroelectric Project, Varinder Salman, the DDC discussed at length various bottlenecks causing hindrances in the execution of the projects and issued immediate directions for the resolution of the issues at an earliest.
The public of the Kiru apprised the DDC that they have not received the compensation for their land, structures and fruit trees being acquired for the projects. General Manager of Kiru Hydroelectric Project submitted that due to non-payment of compensations, the execution of infrastructure works like roads and buildings is being delayed.
The DDC assured that the compensation will be disbursed to the rightful claimants at an earliest. He passed on spot directions to Tehsildar Nagseni to submit the title verifications with regard to structures and fruit trees within two days and week’s time, respectively. He also directed the Tehsildar to identify a chunk of state land for the rehabilitation of the affected families.
Rana informed the public that the project authorities will get skill mapping through an independent agency for the land ousted families and thereafter training will be imparted to the members of the affected families so that they may get jobs as when the major works on these project starts. He assured the public that the major works of the Kiru project will start within a period of two months.
