DDC holds public grievances redressal camp

REASI, Oct  8: The District Development Commissioner, Reasi Sushma Chauhan convened a public grievances redressal camp  at Sujandhar (Bhamag) of Reasi district, to assess the problems and demands of the people of the area.
Sarpanch, Panchs and people of the area apprised the DDC about various problems being faced by them which included scarcity of drinking water, electricity,  road connectivity, ration etc and  also projected their demands for installation of electric poles and shortage of field staff.
DDC after listening the problems of people patiently, assured all possible help from the District Administration side and said that their genuine problems would be redressed in a time phased manner. DDC instructed the concerned officers to mitigate the genuine problems of the people soon on priority.
She added that more such camps will be organised for helping the people of rural and far off pockets in getting their problems mitigated within shortest possible time. She said that there should be strong coordination between the administration and the people for effective implementation of various welfare and development programmes which is pre- requisite for growth and progress of an area.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to conduct frequent visit of far – off and hilly areas to redress the people’s grievances at their doorsteps on priority.
On the occasion, DDC also  awared the people about the various Govt social security schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY,APY  and PMJDY and appealed people to come forward and avail maximum benefits by joining with these social security schemes.
DDC was accompanied by ACD, Suram Chand Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, HL Sharma, DPO Sushil Khajuria, Executive Engineers, all district officers, Tehsil officers and heads of various projects , Sarpanchs, Panchs and people in large number  attended the camp.
