RAJOURI, Oct 21: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat visited the forward villages in Nowshera sector and reviewed the situation in view of shelling by Pakistani troops.
Mr Bhat accompanied by senior officers from the district administration, visited Lam, Ladoka, Pukharni, Sher Makri, Kalsian and Sarya villages situated closer to LoC and asked the people to remain alert and stay indoor. The villagers also projected their demands and said that Govt should construct concrete bunkers at the safer places near their villages so that they could protect themselves in view of shelling from the Pakistani side.
The DC told that most of the villagers who had migrated from Nowshera area due to firing/ shelling recently have now gone back to their respective villages and are carrying their routine agriculture activities in the fields.
