DC discusses arrangements for Budha Amarnath Yatra

POONCH, May 17:   Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Mohammad Harun today convened a meeting with concerned officers, trustees of Shri Budha Amarnath Ji shrine, prominent citizens and social activists to discuss arrangements for the forthcoming Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra to Mandi.
Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments  to make  elaborate provisions for security, accommodation and traffic regulation for smooth movement of the yatris. He also instructed the EO, Municipal Council to maintain cleanliness and illumination facilities at Langer sities and around the places where yatries will stay so that they may not face any inconvenience.
The Fire and Emergency Department was directed to set up fire tenders at all the halting stations enroute the Holy shrine. Health authorities were asked to establish medical camp near shrine and also keep standby ambulances at strategic locations.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajiv Panday, Additional Deputy Commissioner Gurvinderjeet Singh, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, ARTO, Assistant Commissioner Development, besides Executive Engineers of PWD, PDD, officers of Army, BRO, BSF and several district officers attended the meeting.
