SAMBA, Jan 7: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda chaired public grievances redressal camp at village Kathar Brahmana in Nud block.
She was accompanied by ACD Samba, BDO Nud, Tehsildar Samba, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineers of PHE, PDD, PWD besides other senior officers of the district.
The people of the area demanded establishment of grid station at village ‘Chilla Danga’.
Responding to the demand of road upgradation, Executive Engineer PWD informed that blacktopping till Sarna village would be completed by the end of this financial year. Besides, work on Mahorgarh road will be initiated next year under NABARD scheme.
On the occasion, majority of the inhabitants of the village demanded that their Niabat should not be changed from Sarna to Purmandal.
The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with young girls of the village who highlighted issue relating to construction of toilets and sought her intervention in this regard. They also informed that they have to travel long distance due to non-availability of High School in the area.
The DC directed Rural Development Department to hold awareness programmes regarding IHHL (Integrated Household Latrine) scheme and directed Executive Engineer PDD to submit a proposal for improvement of power infrastructure in the village.
