JAMMU, Oct 8: In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding security of judges, Division Bench of the State High Court comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice BS Walia today directed the State to file comprehensive report.
After hearing Advocate Ajay Sharma appearing for the PIL whereas AAG WS Nargal appearing for the State, Division Bench observed, “petition, on hand, voices concern about withdrawal of security deputed at the houses of retired High Court Judges. The counsel for the respondents on January 2, 2015 was directed to file comprehensive reply indicating therein the policy of the State and criteria to make assessment of threat perception”.
“The order remains to be complied till date though two weeks time was given to the respondents to comply with the order of July 1, 2015”, the DB observed and directed AAG WS Nargal appearing for the respondents to file comprehensive report in terms of order dated 02.01.2015 by next date of hearing.
