Srinagar, Oct 8: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) legislators have rejected the report of the Chief Secretary on the mess in Education Department in the State and demanded debate on the issue.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, had directed the Chief Secretary to report to the House about allegations of mess in the Education Department that has led to lack of staff in various schools.
The issue was raised by BJP MLA R S Pathania and several other BJP MLAs in the Assembly during Zero Hour yesterday.
As the Speaker handed over he report prepared by the Chief Secretary to the MLA, the law makers rejected it and said that it has been prepared just for the sake of report. They said queries and concerns of the MLAs have not been addressed in the report.
Pathania told Excelsior that the report has been prepared to buy time. He said that they are seeking debate on it.
The MLA said that the report has not given any satisfactory answer to the criteria for rationalization of teachers in schools. The report has said that ReT recruitment has been put on hold due to court directions but MLA said there is no such court direction. “The court direction is only for verification of certificates”, the MLA said.
There is no satisfactory reply to the justification behind holding the process of regularization in KBGY teachers from Jammu province, as to why inter district transfer in Kashmir province have been ordered to be effected for an indefinite period while the policy contemplates that it shall be for a period of 2 years only.
There is no answer to query, under what authority Commissioner/ Secretary Education has appointed son of his Peon in Directorate of RAMSA at Jammu for a period of 89 days despite blanket Cabinet ban.
He said there is also no satisfactory answer to other queries.
