JAMMU, Feb 13: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Citizen’s Forum through its President, R K Chadha regarding Shakuntla Chowk-Balwinder Chowk-Ambhpalla-Janipur flyover, which was conceived in the year 2008, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today directed the Chief Executive Officer of ERA to file statement of facts within a period of three weeks.
“In the averments made in the affidavit filed on 16.07.2015 it is stated that a meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister on 26.05.2010 and the ERA was directed to undertake the work of widening of the existing BC Road to 8 lane width”, the DB observed, adding “the ERA has not made its stand clear on the suggestion made by Chief Minister”.
