JAMMU, Jan 14: The victim youths’ family hailing from Darhal in district Rajouri has demanded CBI probe into the mysterious death of their two sons within four months.
Addressing press conference here today, Rubina Kouser, daughter of Sarfraz Begum, claimed that they had no trust on the local police. She said her two young brothers were murdered in planned way and the police has failed to properly investigate the case. She alleged that the family had no trust on the local police and the cases be either handed over to Crime Branch or Centre Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Giving more details Rubina said, her first brother Danish Amin was done to death under mysterious circumstances on July 3, 2016 and second -Wasim Raja on November 21, 2016. In first case, the FIR No. 428/ 16 was lodged at Rajouri Police Station while in second case FIR No.74/ 2016 was registered at Darhal Police Station. In first case three accused were detained by police but challan was presented in the court against only two accused persons.
She alleged that in Wasim Raja’s case police detained ten persons but challan was produced against no one. She said the case has been handed over to SDPO Tannamandi and the team framed by SSP Rajouri has failed to work out the case. Instead of solving case, police is harassing victim’s family. One SI and ASI called her mother and other members to Police Station Darhal and used abusive language.
The victims’ family urged upon the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and DGP, Dr S P Vaid to hand over the case to CBI or Crime Branch as they had no trust on the local police.
