UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: A 16 year old boy committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan hook at his residence near Jakhani, here today.
The deceased was identified as Rajan, son of Virander Singh, a native of Uttar Pradesh (UP), presently putting up at a rented accommodation near Jakhani Udhampur. He was found hanging from ceiling fan hook under mysterious circumstances.
On being informed, Police reached the spot and took the dead body in their custody. Later the body was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
Cause of provocation could not be ascertained while Udhampur Police has registered the case in this connection for further investigation.
