JAMMU, Oct 25: Anti Corruption and Crime Investigation Front (AC&CIF) delegation led by its president Bej Nath Bhagat met Minister for Home Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and apprised him about the assault incident in which a daily wager chowkidar received serious injuries.
While speaking, Bhagat apprised Minister that a daily wager chowkidar posted in the Irrigation and Flood Control Department’s Store at Beli Charana namely Daleep Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Dool, Kishtwar, at present Jammu was assaulted by some miscreants when he was performing his duty at night on October 19. The victim was rushed to GMC Jammu with head injury, where he was operated, but still his condition is critical, he added.
He further disclosed that a case in this regard was registered with Gandhi Nagar police station, adding that the miscreants behind the incident should be booked under law and punished accordingly.
The victim requires huge amount for further treatment and it is the moral duty of the concerned department and Government to bear the expenses and provide best possible assistance to him, Bhagat stated.
Minister gave patient hearing to the issues raised by the delegation and assured of full cooperation in arresting the accused and providing possible help to the victim.
