CS takes stock of Darbar opening arrangements

SRINAGAR, May 4: Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khanday today took stock of the final arrangements being put in place for smooth functioning of offices after Darbar Move at Civil Secretariat here. The Civil Secretariat offices will reopen in Summer Capital on Monday.
He was also presented Guard of Honour by the Jammu and Kashmir Police contingent on the occasion.
Chief Secretary accompanied by officers inspected the newly constructed block of Information Technology and Industries and Commerce Departments besides other upgraded and renovated halls and office rooms.
He directed concerned officers to ensure that all required facilities are extended and put in place for smooth and hassle free working in all departments in the Civil Secretariat.
Later, Khanday also inspected residential quarters of move employees at Tulsi Bagh and other areas and took stock of the facilities being provided to them. He directed for providing all necessary facilities to the employees and ensure proper sanitation in and around the premises.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Shalinder Kumar, Secretary General Administration Department, Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad, IGP Kashmir, Abdul Gani Mir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Director Information, Zaffar Ahmad, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr. G.N. Qasba, Director Estates, Mohammad Husain Malik, Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad and other senior officers from civil administration and police were present on the occasion.
