JAMMU, May 29: Special Judge Anti-corruption Jammu today framed charges under Prevention of Corruption Act against Selection Grade Constable Abrar Wani, who was booked for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10,000.
According to the police case, Abrar Wani during his posting in Police Station Purmandal in the year 2015 demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 10,000 from Ram Saroop for not implicating him in a case registered against some villagers of Mandal.
A case Under Section 5(1) (d) read with 5(2) of Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act was accordingly registered against him.
