Surat (Gujarat), Sept 29: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that out of sheer desperation, Congress party is cooking up false allegations on the eve of Gujarat Assembly poll.
Addressing the BJP District Working Committee of Surat, followed by a series of Mandal level meetings, Dr Jitendra Singh said, since Congress Party has no issues to find fault with the BJP Government in the State or in Centre, it has started a manufacturing factory which comes out with baseless new accusations everyday.
Dr Jitendra Singh lashed out at the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for having spent three days in Gujarat trying to rake up passions and provoke people. He said, nothing can be more ridiculous than accusing the BJP Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for having brought in the first ever bullet train to Gujarat. He said, when the distance between Ahmedabad and Mumbai gets covered within only two hours, it will bring about a revolution in revenue, job generation and business avenues. The entire investment is being made by Japan on a nominal interest and this has been possible because of the effective foreign outreach of Prime Minister Modi, he added. It is also ridiculous, he said, for the Congress leaders to oppose the introduction of Bullet Train in Gujarat just because certain train accidents have taken place elsewhere.
Making a dig at the Congress leadership, Dr Jitendra Singh sarcastically said, tomorrow when they are not left with any reason to oppose the Bullet Train brought in by Narendra Modi, they may go to the extent of asking, why Bullet Train is not “Bullet Proof”?
Dr Jitendra Singh observed that between the last Assembly poll in Gujarat and the upcoming one in next two months, several of those sections of society including the tribals who had last time hesitatingly voted for BJP, will this time whole – heartedly vote the BJP in full measure and strength. He therefore, called upon the party Karyakartas to work at the ground level with full confidence and be alert and prepared to promptly counter every allegation made by the opposition, whether publicly or in media. Particularly, as far as social media is concerned, he advised caution to use it with discretion.
