JAMMU, May 13: A large number of Congress workers and people of Paloura protested against the BJP-PDP State Government and Public Works Department here at Paloura for delaying the construction of damaged roads in the area.
The protest was lead by Mula Ram, vice president JKPCC and Hari Singh Chib district president Congress Jammu Rural.  Rajni Bala Block President Pataa-Paloura and Uday Chib National Secretary NSUI also participated in the protest. In the protest the slogans against “BJP-PDP Government”, “PWD Department” and  MLA Raipur Domana “Bali Baghat” were raised.
During the protest Mula Ram said, “Current State Government of BJP-PDP has totally failed to deliver on the expectations of the people. Today corruption in the Government has reached to the highest level. Roads in Jammu are in worst condition especially in Paloura and Gujjar Mohalla. PWD is sleeping and no maintenance of roads has been done by them from the last couple of years.  People are also facing the problem of electricity cuts and scarcity of water in the area.
Hari Singh Chib said, “Reconstruction of roads specially in Paloura and Mohalla Gujjaran is due from more than two years. Potholes in the roads are big and more in numbers because of which roads are  highly inconvenient to use. He also said that “SDM has given the assurance to start the work within 10 days and if Government fails to do so then we will continue our  protest  and fight for the issues of the people”.
Others were present in the protest were Shahbaz, Ajay Kumar, Pintu, Dwarka Prasad, Vinay, Neetu, Om Parkash, Darshan Padha, Happy, Tarun, Sobat Ali, Nazir Ahmed, Saif Ali, Pritam Singh, Harbans and many others.
