JAMMU, Dec 4: Youth National Conference (YNC) provincial joint secretary Shamsher Singh Bhandari has expressed serious concern over prevailing power and water crisis in Kishtwar especially the rural belt.
In a statement he urged the DC Kishtwar to issue directives to PHE and Power authorities in the district to better the power and water supply as people are facing many hardships in these tough days of winter when temperature has plummeted very low.
The YNC leader also expressed concern over denial of sugar to the APL families in the district and said that this has exposed the Government which had made tall claims of solving the problems of people and bettering the Public Distribution System.
He said there is no logic in denial of sugar to APL families.
Bhandari also demanded installation of flood lights from Hasti More to Bus Stand Kishtwar for smooth movement on this road during late evening hours, construction of parking slot from Bus Stand to Kuleed Chowk to avoid parking of the vehicles on the road resulting in traffic chaos.
