SAMBA, Nov 29:  Senior  National Conference leader and former Minister Surjeet Singh Slathia today castigated the PDP-BJP Government for failing on all fronts.
Interacting with people during his  visit to Rakh Barotian in Vijaypur Assembly constituency, Mr Slathia said that due to abject neglect of the coalition dispensation and mis-governance, the sufferings of the people continue to accumulate.
“The insensitivity of the Government is depicted by the fact that utility services remain unattended and essentials at the ration depots continue to be scarce”, he added.
The former Minister cautioned the Coalition Government not to test the patience of people and attended to their problems  on urgent basis. “The Government seems to be more engaged in generating controversies rather than concentrating on the governance”, he added.
He urged the people to play their crucial role in foiling the divisive policies of PDP and BJP, saying the State was passing through a most difficult phase.
Mr Slathia said that the coalition partners were engaged in playing to their respective constituencies, as a result of which the development has taken nose dive and an atmosphere of drift is prevailing due to sinister machinations of the divisive forces.
“In such a situation the people have to unite for safeguarding the legitimate interests of the State”, he said adding that history stands testimony to the fact that the masses  have led the State in most crucial times under the banner of National Conference and steered it to peace, progress and development.  “We have to work for promoting communal harmony in all the circumstances and maintaining regional unity”, Mr Slathia added.
