JAMMU, Feb 28: Government today constituted a committee to make recommendations regarding the proposal for the skill development of registered construction workers and their dependent children.
According to the order issued by GAD, Principal Secretary, Finance Department is the Chairman of the committee while as Commissioner Secretaries of Technical Education and Labour and Employment Departments and Labour Commissioner are its members. Chief Executive Officer/Secretary, J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is Member Secretary of the committee.
The committee will come up with its recommendations including the approach/scheme to be adopted by the J&K Building and other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board for the skill upgradation of the construction workers and the skill development of their children.
